Christmas Tree Stand Sign-up 2019

It is that time of the year again. Reminder: All scouting families must sign up for two shifts to gain their tree stand credit.

Please sign up for the early shifts before jumping on the last shifts in December.

You can find the sign up sheet in the Resource Center.

Kiel Picnic Cleanup

It is already time for the Kiel Picnic, which of course means cleanup. This is a mandatory event for Boy Scouts. If you are in the area, we expect you to show up and help clean up. Many hands make light work.

Be at City Park, 6am (Fri-Mon). We also typically make a second sweep later on Sunday to help Monday morning go a bit faster. Thank you, Steve R.

Important Spring Camporee Update

Due to the poor weather conditions that are forecast for this weekend and wanting to provide the best participant experience for the event, the group putting on the camp are rescheduling the Lakeshore District ‘Clash of the Clans’ Spring Camporee to the weekend of May 4 – 6. They will still be having all of the events at Camp Anokijig in Elkhart Lake.

Fall Opportunities

We are exploring a few opportunities for the fall.

First, we are looking into participating with efforts on the Ice Age Trail in Walla Hi County Park. You can find more detail here:

Second, it would appear the fall camporee will be a caving event this year. See info here:

Also note on the calendar the fall Lion's Club Chicken and Ham Dinner is coming up on Sept. 21.

We will follow-up on both the above opportunities as more detailed information becomes available.

Please note the September 4th meeting has been moved to September 11th. Also note September 11,18 & October 2 meetings will be from 7:30-8:30. Lastly, starting with the September 11th meeting, we will move back to City Hall.

Kiel Picnic Cleanup!

Just a reminder that tomorrow, Friday, Aug 10, we begin Picnic Clean-Up. At 6am we will be meeting under the Concrete Pavillion located near the South end of the Picnic. We clean rain or shine, so be sure to look ahead at the weather and dress appropriately. See you tomorrow!
